Picante (Bil)

Picante is a card game unlike any other.

Players will try to collect as many cards as possible while avoiding cards of a color chosen beforehand by each player, known as their “Picante” color! In this game, any card of a different color from the first card played in a trick counts as a trump. Players will be sweating as they play Picante!

At the start of each round, choose one card from all the cards dealt to you and place it face up in front of you, visible to everyone.
That is your Picante color. You will lose as many points as the face value of all cards of that color you collect during the round—starting with the first card you chose!

Then, let the fun begin!

The first player plays a card of any color they choose. Any card of a different color is considered a trump and wins the trick. If several trumps are played, the highest one wins.

The 0 is never a trump.

It’s up to you to decide when to collect cards, which earn you 1 point each, and when to avoid your Picante color, which will cost you a lot of points!

Picante is a very subtle game, and it’s easy to get trapped by other players, who will not hesitate to make you take as many cards of your Picante color as possible.
