Coloretto (Fr)

Coloretto is a card game where players collect chameleons of 7 different colors in front of them. On their turn, a player must choose between: - drawing a card from the deck and placing it on one of the rows in the center of the table, or - taking a row from the center of the table and adding it to their collection in front of them. But at the end of the game, each player only counts 3 colors as positive and all the others as negative! Throughout the game, each player will try to limit their own colors and increase those of their opponents... which can be quite amusing. Some special cards spice things up, but the rules remain childishly simple.

Coloretto works perfectly with 2 to 5 players and with all types of players: it can be played casually with family and can bring together 3 generations, but it can also become tactical and competitive among "serious" players. The original mechanics were so innovative that they were later used in Zooloretto, which received the Spiel des Jahres award in 2007. For its 10th anniversary, Coloretto gets a makeover: a new box and vibrant new artwork by Russian artist Oksana Svistun. And just one extra card: the golden wild card. This card forces the player to add the top card of the deck to their collection, which can be either good or bad news!
