Metal Earth - F4U Corsair

Metal Earth

$2499

The most capable carrier-based fighter-bomber of World War II was equipped with the most powerful engine available at the time: the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp, an 18-cylinder radial engine producing 2,000 horsepower. It was the first American warplane to exceed 400 mph in level flight. The aircraft featured an unusual inverted gull wing design to keep the landing gear short while allowing for the use of the large-diameter propeller required by the powerful engine.
