The kingdom of Kingsburg is under attack! Monstrous armies are at its gates, relentlessly seeking to invade the kingdom and destroy everything in it. You've been appointed Governor of a frontier province - it's up to you to defend it and make it prosper, to curry favour with the members of the Royal Family and their Advisors, to obtain the gold, wood and stone, as well as the soldiers needed to develop and protect it. But don't worry, you're not alone: the other Governors will also be working to offer the best to their own provinces.

It's up to you to outsmart them! You'll need to construct buildings, strengthen your defences and train your army. After five years, only one of the Governors will be appointed to the King's Council, and that Governor could or should be you!

Over time, new territories will be conquered, but old and new dangers will continue to threaten the borders. That's why King Tritus will have to appoint new Governors to defend and develop the regions bordering his kingdom. They'll have more opportunities to develop their provinces, while new, safer routes to the capital will provide a clearer picture of which reinforcements to count on in the coming winter battles.
