DIY House - Morita-Ya

$5499

On my last trip to Japan, I was too tired to walk after visiting the tourist sites, and the freezing winter wind was still cutting through my bones, so I went into Morita Ramen. The place is simple but very welcoming: a piping-hot bowl of ramen served at the table, a rich broth, plenty of toppings… Then, after drinking a glass of shochu, the cold and fatigue melted away. The owner himself served me the ramen, and I felt right at home—which was wonderful. Back home, I recreated the restaurant and the bowl of ramen with building blocks as a memento of that evening. Every time I look at it, it warms my heart. Who wouldn’t love memories like these? Isn’t it wonderful to experience such heartwarming moments while traveling?
