The island of CATAN continues on its path to prosperity. After a period of population growth, the inhabitants of CATAN face a barbarian invasion on a scale never seen before. Negotiations for resources become more important as the number of inhabitants and knights increases. The struggle on CATAN is no longer just a question of commercial supremacy, as illustrated by the presence of a metropolis. You will now have to distinguish yourself in the defense of CATAN in order to win.

This is an expansion; a copy of Catan - 6th Edition, Catan - 5-6 players, and Catan: Cities and Knights are required to play.

The previous edition and the current edition of CATAN can be used together. Some product combinations have different card backs, which can be resolved by purchasing CATAN card protectors or replacement cards. Some accessories may not be compatible from one edition to another due to changes in component size or design.
