Video Game Champion is a competitive strategy game, where you and your friends are kids from the 90s, dividing your time and attention between earning money, studying, renting video games, buying strategy magazines, begging your parents to buy you video games, and finally playing as many video games as possible.
Mechanically, players navigate the game by strategically selecting tokens on an action grid, each activating a corresponding action effect from the column or row. The challenge lies in managing resources such as money, button tokens and "I owe you" tokens, adding depth to decision-making as players strive to maximize their points by completing games with poker-like combinations of tokens, exploring new exits and completing various mission objectives specific to each game path.
