The BF-109 is a German Second World War fighter that first saw service during the Spanish Civil War (1939) and went on to become the backbone of the Luftwaffe's fighting force. The BF 109 was the most produced fighter in history, with a total of 33,984 airframes produced between 1936 and April 1945.
