El Grande is finally back! After almost 30 years, it was time to give the game a complete overhaul! El Grande takes place in 15th century Spain, at the end of the Reconquista. Players send their caballeros to take control of the 9 regions and become "El Grande". However, it all depends on where the king is - and majorities can change in the blink of an eye. Players take turns depending on the power card they play. Each turn, players choose 1 of 5 action cards, allowing them to place caballeros on the card and perform a special action. After 3 rounds, they earn points based on the majorities in the different regions - and additional points for the majority in the current kingdom and their home region. After 9 turns in total, someone will be the new ruler of medieval Spain.
