GAME OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVE: A game is played in 3 successive chapters that unfold in a similar way.

On your turn, develop your Skills, increase your treasure, expand your presence in Middle-earth, rally Peoples to your cause, or progress in the Quest for the Ring.

Win the game immediately by fulfilling one of the three victory conditions:

- Complete the Quest for the Ring.
- Gather the support of six different Peoples.
- Conquer Middle-earth.
