The String Railway Collection (En)

Play For Keeps

$4699

Originally published in 2009 and designed by Hisashi Hayashi (Yokohama, Trains, Metro X), String Railway is a 20-minute game for 2 to 5 players in which players create their own map directly on the table—complete with borders, mountains, and rivers—and then build a railway network on it, all using string.

Released in 2011, the sequel String Railway: Transport (now renamed String Railway: Cubed) combined the core concept of String Railway with the strategic decision-making found in games like Railways of the World, resulting in a game with an average playtime of 45 minutes. In this game, players start with a map of pre-built stations and must balance their desire to upgrade their locomotives and fulfill custom delivery contracts with the need to quickly build a flexible railway network capable of transporting goods to various destinations.

The String Railway collection brings these two standalone games together in a single compact box and features updated, vibrant illustrations, improved graphics, and refined rules.
